Royal Dragon Restaurant 御龙阁: Chinese Restaurant opened by Wang Lei 王雷

With the current COVID-19 measures, we are not able to enjoy a table of Zi Char dishes with our family dining in. But thanks to that, these restaurants are also taking more seriously on food takeaway and delivery. Royal Dragon Restaurant offers a variety of online order sets and we decided to give it a try.

We ordered the Live Lobster Set as shown above. Quite expensive in total ($268++) but the portion was more than enough for the seven of us despite the fact that desserts and Ginseng Chicken were missing.  The steamed Lobster is full of garlic taste and even its glass noodles tasted good, albeit rather greasy. The Soon Hock Fish which was the signature of this restaurant, was fresh. However, the rest fared quite average. The Dong Bo Pork was a disappointment as the meat were sliced too thick and did not allow the braised sauces to penetrate well enough.

For now, there are more misses than hits in the takeaway menu but hopefully it will be better if we have a chance to dine-in next time.
