I always think that aircon is a must when
having porridge in Singapore. Mun Zuk is a brand under Li Fang
Congee 丽芳粥品 but located in a mall, which makes it convenient to try. The waiting time was a bit long for both the dine-in seats and
cooking time during weekday peak hour.
The Creamy Trio Egg Congee 奶滑三蛋粥 ($6.1+), which
included soft boiled egg, century egg & salted egg, was extremely salty. Was disappointed as it contained all my fav ingredients. Ala carte orders do not come with Youtiao 油條 and it's sad to know you have to add on $1.8+ for that, which comes bundled with a drink.
Added $4 worth of meatballs to this congee which sets the bill to over $1 :(
Meatball Sliced Pork Congee
肉丸肉片粥 ($5.5+) was better but the meatballs and slices were sparse.
Steam Pork Ribs ($3.2+) is a side dish which was average. It was not served in the bamboo steamer as on menu.
Overall taste was not bad but pricey. Both of us were extremely thirsty the rest of the day
after we ate at noon.

Aiyo …. What do expect when u dine in a middle/upper shopping mall?
ReplyDeleteHaha I had no expectations to begin with.
DeletePreviously the porridge is fabulous . Lately, I ordered the liver was vercooked and hard. Also the porridge no longer the fine blended texture type. Is like our home cooked porridge which is coarse. Hope they will improvise. Have already feedback to them on the spot:
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update!
