If you are looking for Japanese set lunches here in Singapore that was originated from Japan, Tomi Sushi is one of the places you could head to. All of their sets come with Koshihikari rice, chawanmushi, miso soup, salad and fruit. The restaurant itself is also quite family-friendly, evidenced by all the families with kids dining there on weekends.
One of the most expensive set on the lunch menu would be Anago Nigiri Gozen ($45++).
If you are looking for a cheaper option, Chirashi Lunch ($25++) would be a good choice.
Besides a good row of sushi, Sushi Bento ($38++) also comes with tempura, fried saba fish and sashimi. A decent option for those who wanna try a little bit of everything.
BTW, do not order the Hiya Yakko (Chilled Tofu) from their Grand menu. It tastes like tofu taken
right out of the box without any flavor and cost us $7++.
Though it may not be the cheapest Japanese restaurant, however, Tomi Sushi is certainly worth a try if you were in the Novena area. They also have two other outlets at Millenia Walk and Katong.
