Authentic Mun Chee Kee KING of Pig's Organ Soup 正正文志记猪什汤大王: A Good Place for Pork Trotter and Braised Pork Rice!?

Visited Cheng Mun Chee Kee Pig Organ Soup 正文志记猪什汤大王 before and this time trying out its competitor Authentic Mun Chee Kee KING of Pig's Organ Soup 正正文志记猪什汤大王. Heard that both of them originated from the same family but subsequently went their own ways.

Instead of pig organ soup, their most mentioned item from Google Maps reviews was the pig trotter. I quickly changed my mind to try those out as I am not really a big fan of pig organ in the first place.

They have two flavours, Vinegar Pig's Trotter猪脚醋 and Braised Pig's Trotter鹵猪脚, both sold at $7.50. I chose the vinegar one as it was mentioned by more people and and get to try out the braised meat with Lu Rou Fan 😋. The touch of vinegar is just right and the texture was gelatinous. The portion was quite good, at least it has more than the usual one I had. 

The Braised Pork Rice 鹵肉饭 is only sold at $2.80 and that's really cheap for lu rou fan in SG. There's a generous amount of fat and lean meat, though still leaner than those you will get in Taiwan. Not as yummy as those Taiwanese ones but we can't ask for more at this price.
