For those who stay in the West, you would have heard about Feng Zhen Lor Mee from Taman Jurong. Feng Zhen Lor Mee opens a new outlet at Yishun and the queue is still so long! But good things are worth the wait as the gravy is thick but not too heavy and it's not as salty as some of the lor mee sold elsewhere. The vinegar, garlic and chilli are all self-service so the flavour is highly adjustable to one's personal liking. One can choose btw traditional ($4/6) or the fish lor Mee ($6/8) and they use batang fish here. I prefer the traditional as there's deep fried meatballs which were fragrant and tasty. The fish was slightly fishy during my visit.
