Tea Tree Cafe is a brand that started from tea beverages and expanded to
desserts such as Bo Bo Cha Cha and Grass Jelly Bowl. It has currently 9
outlets islandwide and I managed to try some of the desserts via delivery.
As for the chilled desserts, we tried the Signature bowl (choice of grass
jelly as base) and the Coconut Bowl (choice of pudding as base). Both were
refreshing and came with generous amount of toppings.
Overall, the quality of desserts were excellent and the pricing won't
break your wallet. Between the hot and cold desserts, I would pick the
hot desserts as they are more "gao" than those served by other common
traditional dessert shops and yet not over cloying.
From the hot desserts selection, we had the Sesame Tang Yuan, Peanut Cream
and Almond Cream. The first two were thick and creamy, boasting intensely
nutty flavor while the Almond Cream was smooth and fragrant. One can rest
assure that none of them was diluted at all and the sweetness was not too
sweet, simply perfect.
