Cinnabon Japan: Life Needs Frosting

Besides croissants, I have a weakness for cinnamon rolls. Those fluffy, sweet spiraled rolls filled with aromatic cinnamon filling and coated in sticky cream cheese frosting. Mmmm.......
I used to remember my mum bringing me to a cinnamon roll shop at Bishan Junction 8 but it has closed down now.

Luckily, the famous American's cinnamon shop Cinnabon has opened an outlet in Tokyo! Didn't know the existence until I walked past that area and hola~ It's THAT smell! the aroma of cinnamon. And so that's how I landed in Cinnabon in Roppongi.

Right at the entrance, you can watch the making of cinnamon rolls. I can't bear standing there watching as it only makes me even hungrier.

Menu is generally the same as the US outlets: Cinnanon Classic / Cinnamon Caramel Pecanbon/ Chocobon / Cinna Bites / Cinnabon Stix

That's the Cinnamon Minibon vs the Cinnamon Classicbon. The legendary trademark roll of Cinnabon made with Makara Cinnamon from Indonesia.

Everything is made fresh in house and I even waited for 20 minutes for the fresh batch to come out because I wanted something HOT (it was winter then)Limited space on level one so it's better to head to the second floor where there are plenty of seats, including window seats where you can watch people go by
And tadaa~ the Classic Cinnabon. I had the mini version (320 yen) as the original size is too big. The mini version is actually roughly the same size as those from typical bakeries in Tokyo.

Warm, fresh out of the oven. It's the familiar taste that never goes wrong.
There are plastic forks and knifes but I wonder who uses them? Cos it's always a joy to unpluck cinnamon rolls with hands and lick that yummy cinnamon sugar.
Not enough frosting? You can always buy additional frosting that comes in (from left to right: Caramel Cream Cheese, Chocolate, Caramel, Cream Cheese).
If you haven't had enough, there is always the CINNAPACK
Cinnabon Stix
These danish-like pastry sticks do not come with any sauces so I decided to try them with the caramel cheese frosting. Though the sugar sticks were not as crunchy as they look, they were still irresistible when dipped into the ooey gooey caramel cheese sauce.

Cinnabon is a brand that was established in Seattle, Washington since 1985. It has now more than 900 outlets in 51 countries (hopefully in Singapore one day) Anyway, this bakery-café also sells its specialty beverages including the signature MochaLatta Chill.

Seriously sinful, but seriously delicious.
Yes, life needs frosting.
